Sabine Mosen. Sabine Mosen was born in 1961 and is now married with four children, coming from an experienced horse family, spanning more than three decades. Sabine was constantly searching for fair, logical, and efficient training for horses which she has now learned through people such as Philippe Karl and Monsieur Charles at the Trakehner stud, Gestüt Webelsgrund.
From 1998 onwards, Sabine has been having lessons and organising clinics with Philippe Karl. In March, 2007 Sabine became a licensed teacher in Philippe Karl's Ecole de Légèreté (School of Lightness) and is now licensed as a Level Three teacher. Sabine currently trains three times a year with Philippe Karl.
Sabine has been shown non-forceful training methods with respect for the horse, learning that trust forms the basis of each training session for riding in harmony and lightness.
"Légèreté is not a declaration of intent of a poetic or esoteric nature but a philosophy bringing together clear, effective and measurable equestrian concepts. It excludes any use of force or coercive artificial aids, but includes all types of horses and takes an interest in all equestrian disciplines. Lastly it has the aim of getting the best from the horse and fulfilling the rider through the constant search for efficiency via the minimum use of means." Philippe Karl, Twisted Truths of Modern Dressage, page 154.
Sabine Mosen is an honorary member of Philippe Karl's "School of Légèreté". The distinction "Honorary Member of the School of Légèreté" is awarded to people who are especially committed to the School of Légèreté and promote its propagation.
