Anita Budgeon with Churizo (Imp UK). Anita Budgeon was born in the United Kingdom and started riding at age eight. In Anita's twenties, she paid a visit to classical rider Patricia Findley who had been trained by Nuno Oliveira and 'had a sit' on Patricia's high school trained Lusitano stallion, Pastor. From that moment classical Dressage and Spanish horses changed Anita's aspirations in equestrianism.

Anita Budgeon moved from the United Kingdom to Perth, Australia in June, 2008 and bought with her Churizo, her fifteen year old Hispano-Arabe stallion who stands just a fraction under 16hh. Churizo boasts fabulous old bloodlines with multi~champions on both sides of his parentage. The Hispano~Arabe is the result of breeding a purebred, registered Andalusian to a purebred, registered Arabian. Hispano~Arabe is very highly regarded in Spain and is a breed in its own right.

Churizo's sire was Churumbel II (also owned by Anita), a black purebred Andalusian, high-school trained and a multi-champion show and display horse in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Churizo is standing at stud in Western Australia and his first foal is due at the beginning of September, 2009. Anita plans to take Churizo competing in the very near future and is very excited to be a part of the first Australian Philippe Karl Clinic. Anita says, "Once you have sat on the Horse of Kings, there's no going back. You'll be hooked and you will never stop learning." Churizo is currently at advanced level and Anita is working with him on piaffe, passage and Spanish walk.
