Dressage World proudly announces the return of Philippe Karl to our shores!
Philippe Karl will be appearing at EQUITANA Melbourne on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November, 2010 for two demonstrations to show his classical principals of dressage.
Following EQUITANA Melbourne, his clinic in Melbourne will take place with selected applicants vying for positions in the Teachers Course of his School of Légèreté. Applications are still open till 31st August 2010.

Diane Bennit from Western Australia's Talking Horses Radio Show (91.3 SportFM) will be interviewing Sylvia Stössel while she is in Perth for her May clinic. The interview is on Tuesday, 25th of May at 6.30pm, broadcast live from Brookleigh Equestrian Estate.
Sylvia will be asked questions about Philippe Karl's classical dressage principals in his School of Légèreté and her experience of it over the last ten years. It will definitely be an interview worth tuning into!

The May 2010 clinics with Sylvia Stössel are now finalised and details below provide information on the Perth and Canberra dates and locations.
Sylvia Stössel has been working with Philippe Karl in his Classical Principals for over ten years and has a vast knowledge in training all levels of horses and riders from Preliminary to Grand Prix. She has an intricate training style and has recently been honoured with the role of teaching the successful applicants of the Teachers Course in the School of Légèreté in Australia from 2011 onwards, in conjunction with Philippe himself. Sylvia will visit us twice per year and Philippe Karl the once.
Although the date for teacher applicants to register their interest with Philippe Karl does not expire until 31st of August, 2010, the May clinics with Sylvia will give her an excellent outline for reporting back to Philippe Karl, who will then decide on the final selection of riders for his return late November, early December to begin the three year course. The Perth clinic for potential teachers is May 20 ~ 23 at Brookleigh Equestrian Estate, Swan Valley, Western Australia.
The Canberra clinic for potential teachers is May 28 ~31 at Equestrian Park, Victoria Road, Hall, Australian Capital Territory.
All spectators are encouraged and welcome to join in the discussions with Sylvia Stössel by completing the attendance form. The costs for attending the clinic is $70 per person per day. Very warm clothing is strongly recommended in Canberra! Please contact Pip Easton if you wish to fence sit and observe the system. The Sylvia Stössel Potential Teachers Clinic was awaiting a venue confirmation between the Sydney and Melbourne area. Dates have been confirmed and are from Friday 28 May to Monday 31 May, 2010. The clinic venue has been decided and is the Equestrian Park located in Hall, Australian Capital Territory. More information on Sylvia Stössel's Teachers Clinic.
This year is already busy with four clinics being scheduled across Australia with two of Philippe Karl's licensed teachers. Upon Philippe's request to keep a good level of consistent training communication between riders, spectators and licensed teachers, the two international instructors will be Nicole Weinauge from Northern Germany and Sylvia Stössel from Switzerland.
In March, 2010, Nicole Weinauge will return to Australia. Clinics commence in Bathurst from the 6 ~ 9 March. Please email Cath McDowell from Kellosheil Park ~ Eco Equestrian Centre or phone 0428 378 000.

In May of 2010, Sylvia Stössel returns after her very successful first clinic in November, 2009. Sylvia will be conducting 'potential teachers clinics' in both Perth from the 20 ~ 23 May and the Sydney/Melbourne area from the 27 ~ 30 May (venue to be advised).
In August, 2010, we're hoping for Nicole Weinauge to return. This is yet to be confirmed but potential dates are 19 ~ 22 August or 26 ~ 29 August. Clinic to be held in Perth with other venues and dates to be advised. Please watch this space!
In November and December of 2010, the Master himself will commence training with select riders who will begin Philippe's three year Teachers Course. Selections and names of chosen riders will be advertised in August, 2010. Please note there is an extension to rider applications to 31 July, 2010.
